“Stone Soup” originated as a French tale about 3 soldiers returning home from the Napoleonic Wars. They arrive at a village where they quickly learn that, because of war times, the villagers are unwilling to share, trade or sell any food or supplies. So the soldiers decide to bring an empty pot to the village square, fill it with water, place it over a fire and drop a large stone into the pot. One of the villagers becomes curious and asks them what they are doing. The soldiers answer, “We are making Stone Soup, although some potatoes would really improve the flavor.” The villager does not mind parting with just a little bit, so he brings them some potatoes. Another villager walks by inquiring about the pot, and the soldiers again explain what they’re making. The villager hands them a little bit of seasoning. More and more villagers walk by, each adding another ingredient. In the end, the collaborative effort by all the villagers produces a delicious pot of Stone Soup for all to enjoy.

That is the tale of Stone Soup, people coming together, sharing and aiding one another to reach a common goal. We at Stone Soup 3 envision our creative services in the same manner. Talented people coming together, sharing their expertise, and collaborating to help our clients. We are the “soldiers” with the tools and the skill sets to produce results for your business. Together with your “meat and potatoes”, we can create opportunities to further the growth of your business in this competitive marketplace.
