Full-Time Marketing Manager
 

ABOUT AIGA 

AIGA, the national professional association for design, is looking for a Marketing & Communications Manager to support our Marketing Team, reporting to the Director of Marketing. With 10,000+ paid members, AIGA advances design as a professional craft, strategic advantage, and vital cultural force. This is an opportunity to help expand AIGA’s reach and engagement and have a real-time impact on a non-profit arts organization. This is a full-time (36 hrs/4.5 days a week), fully remote (work from home anywhere in the continental United States) role. Travel may be required once or twice annually (maximum of 8 days away per year).

ABOUT YOU 

AIGA is currently seeking a talented and dynamic Marketing Manager with three or more years of experience to assist in driving business impact via the development and execution of campaigns through AIGA marketing channels, including social media accounts.

As the ideal candidate, you are skilled in crafting marketing content from concept to execution; you have a qualified track record of effectively and responsibly managing social media platforms; and you have the confidence and communication skills to pitch new ideas, think creatively, and work with teams to identify and solve problems.

You thrive in a remote work environment with the ability to prioritize your workload and hold yourself accountable. You are a team-player who can work both independently and collaboratively across departments and on multiple projects.

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

Focusing on building a social media presence to increase brand awareness; driving traffic to AIGA-owned channels; creating content for newsletters and e-blasts and making website updates, you will: 

  • Social Media
    • Actively lead and manage social media profiles, engaging with our members and supporters daily by owning the content creation and strategy of AIGA channels
    • Monitor and respond to community conversations across all identified channels, escalating any customer service-related issues to the leadership team
    • Manage scheduling and deployment of all social posts in Sprout Social and Later
  • Content
    • Collaborate with internal teams to identify storytelling opportunities
    • Write content for newsletters and email marketing campaigns
    • Partner with internal teams to create/build creative that aligns with AIGA’s guidelines and ensure consistent messaging
    • Marketing Planning
    • Assist Director of Marketing in yearly, quarterly, and monthly content planning across AIGA communication channels 
    • Assist Director of Marketing in creating and executing program marketing strategies for AIGA Membership Drives, Conferences, Competitions, and Learning

WHAT WE REQUIRE

  • Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years of equivalent professional experience 
  • Excellent writing, editing and communication skills
  • High degree of organizational skills to manage projects, timelines, and deadlines
  • Knowledge of best practices and current trends within the social media and marketing spaces 
  • Demonstrated success in cultivating and managing marketing campaigns and initiatives 
  • Vision, energy, creativity, and self-starting spirit
  • Interest and curiosity about the design profession and AIGA, and a growth mindset  
  • Ability to work comfortably in a virtual/remote team environment
  • Available to travel and work onsite for 1 week a year for our annual AIGA Design Conference (October 9-11, 2025) 
  • Preferred Technical Experience:
    • Proficient with social media scheduling software such as Sprout Social and Later
    • Proficient with graphic design tools like Canva and/or Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
    • Proficient with paid social media platforms (ex: Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads Manager) 
    • Proficient in and/or willing to learn the essential tools and systems we use for our work: OpenWater, Drupal, Impexium, Slack, Asana, Miro, and Google Apps

AIGA offers an annual salary within the range of $50,000-$55,000 for this position, commensurate with experience, along with benefits including health insurance, paid time off (30 days/year), short and long-term disability, and other perks including a 4.5-day work week (half-day Fridays).
