We are currently seeking a dynamic and innovative Director of Finance with seven or more years of financial and business analysis experience to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be strategic, analytical, creative, and focused with the drive to meet and exceed our annual revenue and growth goals by examining, recommending, and developing financial planning and business strategies.
As Director of Finance, you will assist with the development of AIGA’s financial direction and overall strategy. You will direct financial planning and analysis and while ensuring alignment with AIGA’s mission and goals.
Ideally, you have broad financial experience (financial strategy, accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting), successfully managed a finance department including managing audits, gathering and evaluating financial information, and can effectively make actionable recommendations to Leadership Teams to improve department’s effectiveness and productivity.
You make decisions and build strategies with a data-driven and analytical mindset. You are proficient and experienced with association management systems (Salesforce, Fonteva), have extensive experience with accounting software, enterprise resource planning tools and financial systems and are highly skilled in data management.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Lead the overall strategic finance function
Work with BOD Finance Committee and Ethics & Audit Committee Manage and mentor 2 Finance department team members-Controller and Sr. Accountant
Conduct financial analysis on long-term planning and activities in areas including forecasting, budgeting, revenue growth and new offerings/ventures, and operational performance
Manage, review and monitors annual budget and forecasts Create and monitor short and long-term financial planning and performance
Engage with Leadership Team members to support cross-departmental collaboration that ensures all financial solutions positively support AIGA performance
Conduct financial analysis, modeling, forecasting and reporting efforts to ensure financial operations and business strategy
Conduct complex analyses and research to support business decisions utilizing statistical tools and scenario analysis, including external benchmarking
WHAT WE REQUIRE
Minimum of 7+ years of financial management-level experience, including financial planning and analysis experience at a large public company or a national non-profit with a strong background in accounting, tax, regulatory filing, and treasury functions
Experience with non-profits industry standards and best practices Bachelor’s degree with excellent analytical and communication skills, MBA or Masters in financial management strongly preferred
Exceptional customer service skills, with a collaborative mindset
Track record of success in delivering financial and operational business solutions
High degree of organizational skills to manage processes, systems, and timelines
Knowledge of financial best practices and current industry trends
Demonstrated success managing a finance department A driven, energetic, creative, and entrepreneurial spirit
Extensive computer proficiency, association management systems (Salesforce, Fonteva) Accounting system (NetSuite)
Proficient in and prior experience with enterprise resource planning tools and financial planning systems
