NEW YORK—AIGA, the professional association for design, is proud to announce a new partnership with Magnific, the AI creative platform (formerly Freepik) that brings image, video, audio, and 3D generation together with professional workflows and a library of more than 250 million assets. This collaboration unites two organizations committed to the creative community: one that has championed design for more than a century, and one that is building the tools reshaping how creative work gets made.

The partnership kicks off a slate of educational programming and member resources, alongside a collaboration on an upcoming episode of the AIGA Design Podcast, designed to help designers build fluency with generative AI as it moves from experiment to everyday practice. The goal: give designers tools that used to require a studio, a crew, and a serious budget, while keeping concept, craft, and creative direction firmly in their hands.

"Designers today are being asked to do more, move faster, and work across more formats than ever before, and AI is changing what's possible at every stage of the process," said Giulia Donatello, Design Programs & Strategic Partnerships at AIGA. "Our role is to make sure designers are leading that shift, not just keeping up with it. Putting professional-grade tools in their hands, alongside the education to use them with intention, is exactly the kind of support our community needs right now."

This partnership follows in the spirit of AIGA's AI Statement, which holds that AI should be adopted in ways that enhance rather than dictate human creative experiences, with designers retaining authorship throughout.

"Tools can make execution easier, but intention, judgment, and the ability to move people are deeply human," said Joaquín Cuenca, CEO of Magnific. "We don't build Magnific to replace that judgment — we build it to amplify it. Partnering with AIGA means putting that amplification directly into designers' hands, whether they're freelancing, running a studio, or just starting out. We're honored to stand alongside an organization that has defined and defended the value of design for generations."

Through partnerships like this, AIGA continues to support designers with professional development, industry resources, and community connections at every stage of their careers, including how they navigate AI's role in their practice.
