Julie Zhuo is the VP of product design at Facebook, responsible for overseeing the design of Facebook’s core experiences. She has been at Facebook since 2006, helping to scale the service from 8 million college and high school students to more than 1 billion people globally. Over the years, she has worked on some of the most well-known and engaging designs in the world—News Feed, the Like button, profiles, photos, and more. Julie also writes about design and technology on her popular blog, The Year of the Looking Glass, and for publications such as Fast Company, The New York Times, and The Huffington Post. She received her bachelor’s degree from Stanford University as well as her master’s degree in computer science with a focus on human-computer interaction.
