Bio Debra Woodfork has over fifteen years of professional experience and advanced education in visual communication, advertising, marketing communication and graphic design. As the Production and Design Manager for the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC), the largest global bar association serving in-house lawyers, Debra oversees all visual and branding products promoted to more than 40,000 members in over 85 countries for the organization. She provides art direction and is the lead designer working on projects for various campaigns producing print, online and digital collateral in support of ACC’s mission, global strategic plan and day-to-day operations. Prior to her move to Washington, D.C., Debra worked as an Assistant Professor at Loyola University New Orleans for six years, where she taught graphic design for the School of Mass Communications and managed the Shawn M. Donnelley Center for Nonprofit Communications. Debra has served as a board member for the Washington D.C. Chapter of AIGA, the professional association for design, acting as the Co-Membership Director, Communications Director and Diversity Chair, and as a board member for the New Orleans Chapter of AIGA acting as the Communications Director. Debra is the winner of two gold Addys for work in the categories of Online Interactive Media Design and Industry Self-promotion/Print Advertising Design. She is also the winner of two gold awards given by Association Trends and Association Media Publishing for the design of ACC’s convention program. In 2005, Ebony Magazine named her one of the “30 Leaders of the Future” and in 2013 she was one of four Rising Star Scholars acknowledged by Stratton Media Strategies’ Angerosa Research Foundation. Debra received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Art and a Minor in Business Administration from Xavier University of Louisiana. She is a graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design where she received her Masters of Fine Art in Graphic Design.
