Frances Yllana is Creative Director at Imaginuity in Dallas, Texas and President Emeritus of AIGA DFW. Since 2001, she has worked for some of Dallas’s most reputable design and advertising firms on projects ranging from corporate identity, business to business marketing, annual reports, publication design, book design, branding, illustration, copywriting, traditional advertising, interactive, digital and social media, social networking and strategy.

Her work has been recognized in Print, Graphis, Communication Arts, Black Book AR100, Creativity34 and The Dieline and has won awards from the American Advertising Federation, Houston Art Directors Club, The Dallas Society of Visual Communications and the Press Club of Dallas.

Along with her work in the field, Frances also has experience teaching University level design theory, practice and interactive. From 2008 to 2009, she was Adjunct Professor and Senior Lecturer of Design at the University of Texas Arlington’s Art + Art History Department. She is currently an Adjunct Professor for the University of North Texas' Design Program.

Frances lives in Dallas, and is very active in the design and arts community. Frances is also founder of Good For Grasshopper, a non-profit organization that coordinates professional preparation workshops and publishes online resources and inspiration — on the website, Facebook and Twitter — for design students and new graduates making the transition into the “real world”. The website acts as both advisor and cheerleader for students and encourages students to in turn “do good".
