Expose yourself to new material by exploring with our guest, Yeohyun Ahn. Professor Yeohyun Ahn is an award-winning artist, designer, educator, and researcher, integrating creative coding, digital fabrication, physical interaction, and diversity into experiential graphic design. She leads several research projects: the interdisciplinary typography project TYPE+CODE Series; a multidisciplinary art and design project to bring awareness to Asian female faculty in America titled Social Homelessness on US campuses; and Evolving Graphic Design. Currently, Ahn is an Assistant Professor of Graphic Design and Interaction Design in the Art Department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her AIGA One Designer, One Work presentation is entitled, “Type Portrait - Creative Graphic Design with Coding as Self Expression and Activism.” It will include her personal stories integrating with creative coding, typography, diversity, and leadership as an Asian Female design educator in America.
