With a history of working in some of the worlds most creative agencies, Oliver Maltby discusses his journey from boutique design to recently rebranding the Sydney Opera House. He talks about what is influencing brand design now; identifying five paths that will contribute towards the growth of businesses in the future.

Oliver Maltby is the executive creative director for Interbrand, New York. He was formerly the creative director of Interbrand, Melbourne and Sydney offices where his work included the rebrands of the iconic Sydney Opera House, Australia’s largest digital media company, Sensis, and ahm, Australia’s fastest growing health insurer. Prior to Interbrand, he was the creative director of The Chase, London which, under his direction, was awarded the most creatively awarded agency in the world in 2012.

Throughout his career, Maltby has been consistently recognized by a host of national and international design awards in numerous categories. He has amounted more than fifty awards which include five D&AD Pencils, three Cannes Lions, three New York Festivals, one Clio, and two Design Week Bulbs (and a few more ‘in book’) amongst other bits of metal, wood, and acrylic.
