The Colors of Your Vote

Artist Statement I wanted this piece to draw the viewer in. I wanted them to stand and think while they search out the shapes in the middle, realizing that the shape is simply made of the word "vote". Just one little word makes such a difference. Vote. No matter what party you are affiliated with, you are part of the whole. That's why I chose to have the watercolor red change into the blue and visa vera. You are part of the big picture and you are an individual. It's your duty to yourself to make your voice heard and be part of the bigger picture. Without the element of the word "vote", the piece lacks meaning. Without your vote, the whole can never be complete.
