Bio

Tana Martin Llinas is a multidisciplinary designer, speaker and creative director with more than ten years of experience. She has worked with top agencies, organizations and clients ranging from Starwood Resort & Residences to VISA, and from Chronicle Books to Starbucks. In 2007, Tana co-founded RMC, a branding agency based in Miami. Tana studied graphic design at the Rhode Island School of Design, her professional career began in Barcelona as a design assistant for Javier Mariscal, one of Spain’s most respected illustrators. She went on to develop integrated brand systems for both private and commercial clients including spas, developers, hotels, exhibition spaces, apparel lines and other like-minded visionary partners for several years in Spain and England before moving back to the sates. She finds inspiration in far away places, innovative thinkers, and well-done special effects in zombie movies. She has served as Vice President of the Miami Chapter board of American Institute of Graphic Artists (AIGA), critiqued prospective RISD applicant portfolios for the past ten years, and mentored designers and entrepreneurs through speaking engagements. On a personal note, she earner a first degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do at the age of 18 and has travelled over 30 countries (four of which were with Habitat for Humanity).
