||My career in the printing industry has spanned more than 20 years. I have worked in all phases of print production from pre-press to management to sales. I have a deep affection for the creative process with special appreciation for the collaboration between printer and designer. I am inspired by the process of taking ideas conceived in an artists' imagination and delivering a tangible product with colors, textures and ideas brought to life. My involvement with AIGA Los Angeles grew out of my collaboration with designers. I have enjoyed working with the Programming Committee during the past three years. Starting at Typecraft Wood & Jones in 1999 I came to the firm for the opportunity to work with a Smithsonian award-winning commercial printing company that has partnered with the design community, as well as with museum, university and corporate clients. Tracing its origins to 1907, Typecraft has a tradition of craftsmanship combined with innovation. Typecraft has been particularly proactive in adopting new printing technologies including computer-to-plate, web-based soft-proofing and Staccato stochastic screening.
