Brand and identity
|Bio||As the Founder and Principal of Tamara’s Colors, I’m the lead of three creative movements designed and created for the enjoyment of others. I come with twenty years of combined experience in art & design, screenwriting, teaching and mentoring. The three companies under the Tamara’s Colors brand include: Canis Major Treats, TRDesigns and Tamara’s Color’s. Canis Major Treats – A unique line of novelty items and accessories for people of all ages. TRDesigns – responsible for branding, corporate identities, collateral and other promotional innovations. Tamara’s Colors – not just the palette for the mentioned brands, but also an educational YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-xXnX-nP5o_eb4W1hnhl1A), and a non-for-profit responsible for engaging students and persons of all ages in the arts. Prior to starting Tamara’s Colors, I attended Southern Illinois University in Carbondale Illinois, earning a BA in Design with a minor in Journalism and Pratt Institute, receiving a MS in Communications Design. From that time, my career has included Art Direction positions with D’Arcy Advertising, FCBi, Clinique and a number of freelance opportunities. My teaching roles have been as a Teaching Assistant in Typography at Pratt Institute, Middle School Teacher at M.S. 584 in Brooklyn -- teaching English Language Arts and my initiative afterschool program, Screenwriting. Most recently I’ve worked at Deneen School in Chicago as a Middle School Diverse Learner Teacher at Deneen, teaching ELA along with Mathematics.|
