AIGA’s Get Out the Vote campaign invites designers to create nonpartisan posters and videos that inspire the American public to participate in the electoral process and vote in the 2012 general election.

Since 2000, Design for Democracy's ballot and election design project has worked to make voting easier and more accurate for all U.S. citizens.

This gallery contains examples of ballots and other election materials that have evolved through the benefit of professional design guidance or guidelines while remaining grounded in relevant local legislative, budgetary and equipment-based constraints.

The following ballot and election design tools and resources may be useful to election officials, legislators, equipment providers, printers, designers and press.

For this collaborative environmental and experience design project, a series of large one-of-a-kind outdoor “dots” were designed by artists and affixed to public sidewalks throughout Toledo to enhance a sense of place. Residents and visitors alike could locate, map and collect dots using a website and app.
