I’ve been an AIGA member since I moved to Raleigh in 2009, and in that time I have gained so much through what I have given to the chapter. As a chapter, our mission is to create a place where design thrives. What I found through my involvement with AIGA Raleigh is a place where I thrive, too.

For this collaborative environmental and experience design project, a series of large one-of-a-kind outdoor “dots” were designed by artists and affixed to public sidewalks throughout Toledo to enhance a sense of place. Residents and visitors alike could locate, map and collect dots using a website and app.

AIGA is nearly 100 years old. They say you can’t teach an old dog new
tricks, which might be true. Fortunately, AIGA is a 22,000 person
strong organization, not an aging canine. We’re changing our membership
structure, and we couldn’t be happier about it.
