Bio

A multi-faceted Brand Experience Designer, Josh excels in choreographing people’s interaction into meaningful relationships with a brand’s product and services. Since joining IDEO Chicago in 2012, Josh has helped such diverse clients in the financial, medical, and energy field solve some of their most difficult brand, user experience, and strategy challenges.

Before joining IDEO, Josh was a User Experience Designer at the global advertising firm Crispin Porter + Bogusky, where he worked on designing holistic, human-centered brand experiences that span digital, physical, and experiential touch points for such clients as Domino’s Pizza, MetLife, and Triscuit, among others. Before CP+B, Josh worked as a graphic designer, developing wayfinding systems for various Canadian transportation hubs and libraries. He earned his Bachelor of Design in Industrial Design from the Ontario College of Art and Design with a focus on Biomimicry.

Josh’s continual pursuit of excellence isn’t just confined to his design career. He holds an Associate’s in Concert Piano from the Royal Conservatory of Music and is an award-winning gymnast and former member of Canada’s 2005 Gymnastic World Championships. 

Fun fact: Josh can do eight flips in six seconds.
