Bio

Currently an Art Director and lead creative for the Lee Jeans brand in North America, Marc Shank has developed design strategies and visual solutions for a multitude of noteworthy brands over the past decade including Gatorade, Welch's Fruit Juice, Iams Pet Foods, Hallmark Cards and Pfizer Pharmaceuticals.

 

While with Lee, Shank has been integral in the visual execution of the brand's national marketing campaigns and retail strategies. His work has included the conception, design and execution of packaging, retail presentation, and visual branding for the company as well as the art direction and project management of lifestyle and fashion photography for Lee's online and national advertising segments. His work circulates nationwide in stores such as Sears, Kohls and JCPenney and has been showcased on billboards in New York's Times Square.

 

Shank's creative abilities are diverse, including degrees in both graphic design and illustration as well as certification in Interactive Multimedia and 4 years experience as a photojournalist prior to his design career including freelance work with the nationally published newspaper USA Today.

 

In addition to his professional achievements, Shank has found considerable success as a gallery artist in his spare time. Featured on the MSN Travel Series Re:Discover, his work was recently the focus of a one-man exhibition at the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art and has been showcased in numerous Kansas City publications including the Kansas City Star, Leawood Lifestyle, The Pitch and Ink Magazine.
