Early in his career, Robert Brownjohn was known for his print work and in later years for his film titling, including for Goldfinger and From Russia with Love. He helped to redefine graphic design, moving it away from a formal to a conceptual art, with an emphasis on content over form and a preference for ordinary and personal images. In 2002, he was awarded an AIGA Medal.
