GITTA SALOMON (www.swimstudio.com) Gitta Salomon is Principal of Swim, an interaction design consultancy based in San Francisco. Salomon opened Swim in 1996 to assist clients with the design of interactive products, ranging from web applications to hardware devices for use by consumers or professionals. Swim's clients include DoubleClick, RioPort, Enroute and several start-ups. Prior to founding Swim, Salomon was worldwide director of Interaction Design at IDEO Product Development, where she participated in projects for clients including Sony, NEC, Steelcase, Kodak and Times Mirror. She joined IDEO after more than six years at Apple Computer, where she led interdisciplinary research teams within the Human Interface Group in exploring new interface directions for information-rich environments. Salomon received a master's degree from the MIT Media Laboratory.
