Eli Noyes, the son of famed industrial designer Eliot Noyes, grew up under the influence of family friends such as Charles Eames, Paul Rand, Saul Bass, Robert Osborne and Norman McClaren. Eschewing a design career for the thrill of independent moviemaking, however, Noyes launched into the world of animation and motion graphics, working for the National Film Board, Children's Television Workshop, MTV and Nickelodeon, as well as making short animated films for the educational film market. He helped create the puppet TV show for Nickelodeon, Eureeka's Castle, and spent an intense few years as a director of "blendo" commercials.

Since moving to San Francisco in the early 1990s, Noyes has worked on interactive interfaces for on-demand television and video games, created and illustrated a popular CD-ROM, developed interactive products for Pixar, directed motion-capture projects and helped give birth to Zoog-Disney, Disney's first venture into "telefusion." Noyes is currently creative director at Oxygen, where he is responsible for the design direction of its website.
