Build bridges—to each other, to the unparalleled, to the next chapter in design!

New York (November 5, 2020) - For the past 35 years, the AIGA Design Conference has served as the place for the diverse and ever-changing design community to gather together.

In 2020, we’re building a new virtual space for the community to gather and share ideas. Join us November 9-14, 2020 for the next chapter in design.

We’re bringing together a diverse roster of speakers working in bold new ways, and exploring how design can build better bridges to each other. Join with us as we take on the world’s newest challenges, and learn how we can all make positive progress—and arrive at a more innovative, meaningful, and inclusive place.

Conference highlights:

Three Fireside Chats
November 10, 12, and 14 from 11:00 - 11:45 am ET
Join AIGA Executive Director Bennie F. Johnson and Twitter’s Chief Design Officer Dantley Davis, 3M’s Design Officer Kayo Roehm, and R/GA’s Global Chief Experience Officer Ben Williams for conversations around the future of design.

Two Book Events

  • In The 99% Invisible City: A Field Guide to Hidden World of Everyday Design, host Roman Mars and coauthor Kurt Kohlstedt zoom in on the various elements that make our cities work, exploring the origins and other fascinating stories behind everything from power grids and fire escapes to drinking fountains and street signs.

Three General Sessions
Join us for focused discussion on data, AI, and machine learning and how it is intersecting with and impacting design and take a deeper look at design education, branding, climate design, customer experience, and social narratives.
