AIGA’s expense reimbursement policy governs the approval and reimbursement of all travel and other expenses actually incurred by individual members of
AIGA’s board of directors in the course of their duties.
Board members are expected to cover their own costs of travel for all official board, committee or task force meetings, whenever possible. Under special
circumstances, by arrangement with the executive director, arrangements may be made for reimbursement (although in no case will the reimbursement be more
than 75 percent of the lowest published advance purchase coach fare for air travel). Any reimbursed travel expenses shall be subject to the same
limitations and criteria as AIGA staff members.
policies contribute to the board’s ability to maintain
accountability over the soundness and integrity of the organization.
