Michael J. Walsh is currently a consultant, specializing in Creative Direction & Design on identity, marketing and publishing projects. Mr. Walsh held the position of Director of Design & Digital Media for Visual Arts Press, the design studio for School of Visual Arts In New York City. He has also been an instructor in the Graphic Design/Advertising BFA program for over 10 years at SVA, developing curriculum in various areas of study: Communication, Interactive Content Creation & Design and Human Centered Design Thinking.
He has worked in positions as: Designer; Art Director; Design Director; Picture Editor and Vice President , Creative Director for over 30 years with the following companies: Harry N Abrams, Walt Disney, Time Inc., Turner Publishing, The Washington Post Sunday Magazine, and Detroit News Sunday Magazine.
