What Can You Do To Get Out The Vote?
|Submitted By||Libby Bawcombe|
|Description||What can you do to get out the vote? Register people to vote. Volunteer to call voters to ensure they know their polling places and hours. Share vote411.org so that friends can locate their polling places. Canvass your neighborhood to talk about local elections and ballot initiatives. Watch debates with friends. Encourage early absentee voting for busy voters who may miss election day. Help voters prepare and know what to expect by distributing sample ballots. Remind voters to find out if their state requires a photo ID. Offer transportation to the polls. Set an example; take your children with you to vote on election day. Volunteer to work the polls. Vote on November 8th.|
