John Rombola: Eclectic Eccentric
December 10, 2009–February 19, 2010
John Rombola started his career illustrating for magazines, and
his work frequently appeared in Life, Holiday and
Town & Country. Rediscovered by a new generation of art
and design lovers, Rombola's rambunctious, spirited work is on
display to celebrate the publication of the first-ever
comprehensive monograph of his work. Lively and often funny, these
drawings reveal the style of an eccentric artist who moves to his
own, whimsical rhythm.
The exhibition will be on display on the mezzanine at the
AIGA National
Design Center in New York.
