“Illustrated Etymology” is a side project by Adam R. Garcia which serves as a visual lexicon to unpack the true complexity of the origins of words like “ciabatta,” “average” and “hazard.” He invites illustrators to contribute and also accepts submissions.

Puerto Rican artist Lorenzo Homar was a pivotal figure of the fields of design and plastic arts during the second part of the 20th century. While he produced a large number of works of various media, he is best known for his posters and printed engravings.
