I am at a bit of a crossroads in my freelance career and I am looking for some advice.
I have been working as a contract designer for a local university where I am from since Oct. 2013. My first contract is set to expire and they have already agreed to bring me on for another year. I am not sure if I am overstepping my boundries as a contracted
designer (only working a year) to ask for a raise. I am also moving out of state and the extra cash would help, but I have pleased the "higher ups" of the university with my designs as well as the communication department as a whole and they feel like my family.
It's never fun to ask family for money :)
SO I guess my question is... Only being there a year as a contracted designer is it wrong to ask for a raise??
I would appreciate any feedback! Thank you!
What are good online resources for printing posters online??
Calling all Canon Pixma Pro9000 Users!
I need help. I can print beautifully on photo paper, but I'd like to be able to print on other types, too. I tried to print on a heavy card stock but it comes out blotchy. Can anyone suggest some great paper for printing on the Canon Pixma Pro9000? Thanks

"Shedding Skin" is the third studio album from London’s Obaro Ejimiwe, aka Ghostpoet. For his new album cover, Obaro (A.K.A. Ghostpoet), collaborated with researchers at UCL to utilise a skin biopsy as the key visual element for the artwork. The result is mesmerising visual graphics, 100% personal and unfiltered.
