Charles Harrison presents the AIGA Medal posthumously to LeRoy Winbush, who passed away at the age of 91 in 2007, before he could learn of this great honor. Harrison shares some insight on his friend—a Chicago design pioneer, inspiration and mentor to young African-American designers. Vernon Lockhart, founder of Art on the Loose and an AIGA board member, accepts the award on behalf of Mr. Winbush and speaks passionately about the legacy of his cherished mentor.
