Steven Heller, writer and educator at the School of the Visual Arts, expounds on the quirky and unique style of his occasional co-author Gail Anderson, creative director for SpotCo, and why the AIGA Medal is so fitting for a designer who “can make type sing and dance.” Anderson accepts her award, thanking those who mentored her and continue to support her, and shares a little of her journey toward becoming an “entertainment designer.”
