Blueprint 2009

Blueprint 2009 is the premier preparatory event for design students to learn what they need to know to get jobs, succeed early in their careers and create a foundation for growth as designers. Blueprint is also the only event that covers the expectations and format of the Re:View 2010 Student Portfolio Day, hosted by AIGA Indy this Spring.

The event features two lecture-style sessions. The morning session from 10AM - Noon highlights the challenges design students face in an incredibly competitive and diverse industry. Topics include the reality of the job market, the raw data on job opportunities, salary expectations, professional requirements, job types, what the industry looks for and more.

The afternoon session from 1PM - 3PM focuses on what to do about the challenges. Highlights include a list of resources, strategies for finding interviews, organizing a portfolio, presenting work online, networking, professionalism, interview topics, creating distinction and much more.

Each session will dedicate a healthy portion of time to open discussion and Q&A. Blueprint will feature a panel of a few of Indy's top designers to provide additional insight.
