Each year, AIGA chapter leaders come together for information, inspiration and community. Join us Thursday, May 29 through Saturday, May 31 in Omaha for AIGA’s annual leadership retreat.

Focus on leadership
Enhance your leadership skills by building confidence as a leader at the board level, among your local design community and chapter members. Learn how to instill camaraderie on the board and enlist each person’s strengths to create a solid sense of community and an effective, active chapter.

Focus on goals
Meet the objectives you collectively set for your chapters. From member recruitment and retention to event programming and sponsorship, learn how other chapters have achieved successes, how you can reach goals and succeed in your role on the board.

Focus on community
Personally connect with other AIGA chapter leaders from around the country. The relationships made, approaches learned and stories shared during the retreat will help you navigate within your board position and role as a community leader. The retreat helps reinforce the understanding that you are part of a supportive community and a steward of this national organization.

Important reminders

Attendee limits. Due to accommodation restrictions of the hotel, we will try to hold attendance to about 220 people. This year, the 10 largest chapters (Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, DC, Los Angeles, Minnesota, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Seattle) may send up to six (6) attendees and each other chapter may send up to three (3) attendees.

If you know your chapter will not be sending the total number of board members allotted, please let Katie English know; we’ll then know if there are slots available to chapters seeking to bring one additional board member. The registration deadline is April 25.

Hotel deadline. Reserve your room now, as the hotel will sell out prior to the May 8 reservations deadline! As a guest of the Embassy Suites Omaha you receive:
