sum·mit n
1. the highest point or top of something, especially a mountain
2. a meeting between leaders to discuss a matter of great importance

This June, design leaders and professionals from business, government, culture and education will unite at the Aspen Design Summit to demonstrate how design can serve as a catalyst for innovative leadership and change.

Participants will have the opportunity to work directly with prominent designers and to experience the design process, first hand, while addressing global issues.

The resulting initiatives and strategic partnerships will have a worldwide effect that reaches far beyond these few days in Aspen.

Additional special events you will not want to miss:

Darwin Dinner
On the Summer Solstice, participants will celebrate curiosity, creativity and enlightenment during a Darwin Dinner. Our menu will reflect Darwin’s culinary experiences in South America as Niles Eldredge, curator of the Darwin exhibition at the American Museum of Natural History, shares anecdotes and sketches from Darwin’s journals and journeys.

Design Expeditions
Think “design studio meets National Geographic mini expedition!” While making the most of the magnificent recreational, wilderness and historical destinations accessible in and near Aspen, Design Expeditions will allow Summit participants opportunities to get to know and work with each other within the context of discovery and adventure. Design Expeditions will also offer opportunities for intensive seminars on design and leadership topics.
