Hotel rooms are selling out!
AIGA has arranged for discounted hotel rooms for conference attendees at several hotels located near the Memphis Cook Convention Center where the conference will take place. The Memphis Marriott Downtown is already sold out—so don’t delay on making reservations at one of our other hotels: the Peabody Hotel Memphis, Crowne Plaza Memphis or Comfort Inn Downtown.
Travel discounts
Take advantage of discounts on airfare and Memphis car rentals. For air travel, contact Northwest Airlines at 800 225 2525 (mention Meeting designation WorldFile #NM354) to receive discounted rates on flights to Memphis. For your ground transportation needs, contact Avis at 800 331 1600 (mention AWD #J770134) to receive discounted rates on rental cars. Sign up for roundtables
Participating in a roundtable allows you to share a meal and engage in intimate conversation with “Make/Think” presenters, AIGA board members, AIGA Medalists and other design personalities. Roundtables are held in the Design Fair during breakfasts and lunches and can accommodate 10 people. But pre-registration is required and seats are filling up fast, so sign up today!
Think you know your design trivia?
Then step up to the challenge at “Mano-a-mano”! Designers and authors Armin Vit and Bryony Gomez-Palacio have planned an exciting event for Thursday evening, and they're looking for 16 hardy participants to join a bracket-style tournament testing their design-history knowledge. The first 16 attendees who enter by email will be the lucky contestants. But everyone is welcome to come and watch the action and sharpen your own design trivia! The grand-prize winner will receive a free registration to “Gain: AIGA Business and Design Conference” next year in New York City!
