We’re almost ready to announce several new activities in Memphis that require advance registration. As someone who made an early commitment to attending, you get first dibs on registering for them. Pre-conference workshops
Thursday, October 8

Free for “Make/Think” attendees; registration required
Select one of the three concurrent workshops to enhance your practice and learn new management skills you can take back to the real world. Whether you’re an in-house designer, just out of school or have years of experience under your belt, you’ll be able to apply the strategies you learn to benefit both you and your company.

Midnight FedEx hub tour

You really haven’t seen FedEx until you’ve seen this! With about 140 aircrafts coming and going between 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., the Memphis hub is the largest in the FedEx Express network. Get a unique, private tour of how FedEx moves millions of packages in just a few hours in the middle of the night.
Design studio tours
Thursday, October 8
Tours of each studio are offered at 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
AIGA member price: $25 per studio
Nonmember price: $40 per studio
Food, refreshments, a short presentation and tour are offered at each studio. A trolley pass is also included, so take the opportunity to jump on and off to see the Civil Rights Museum, Beale Street, The Famous Peabody Hotel (yes, the ducks in the lobby are really true) and walk the legendary streets of Memphis.

Tour the legendary Sun Studio and Stax Records, or the must-see Graceland. Tickets include a light breakfast at the Memphis Cook Convention Center, bus transportation throughout the day, guides who will provide unique insight into Memphis’ musical history, and platinum access to Sun Studio and Stax, or Graceland.
Mojo tour A: Sun Studio and Stax Museum of American Soul Music
Take a tour of Sun Studios, where the blending of blues and country music came together in the Big Bang of rock ’n’ roll. The tour continues at the Stax Museum of American Soul Music, which pays tribute to all the artists who recorded there with an amazing collection of more than 2,000 interactive exhibits, films, artifacts, items of memorabilia and galleries.
Mojo tour B: Graceland
You can’t go to Memphis and not visit Graceland, the home of the King. Our guides will educate and entertain on board the buses, and you’ll have three hours on the grounds to see Graceland and all it has to offer.
