    Enrollment in “Business Perspectives for Creative Leaders” is limited to a select group of senior-level design professionals who have high-level involvement in design and strategy projects. Acceptance is subject to the approval by AIGA executives and Yale faculty members. Professional achievement and organizational responsibility are the main criteria for admission; there are no formal educational requirements for this professional development program.     The program fee—an investment in your future—includes tuition, course materials, on-campus accommodations and meals. Course materials won't be distributed until payment is received in the full amount.

    An additional 10-percent group discount is available to two or more people applying from the same company at the same time. Applications must be received on the same day so they can be reviewed together.

    How to apply

    When you apply online, you will be asked to upload two supporting documents (as a PDF or Word document). Please be sure to include:

    • A current résumé or similar description of your experience
    • A brief letter describing the level of interaction you have with your clients and the type of clients with whom you work

    Cancellation policy

    There are no refunds for cancellations, since AIGA has no flexibility in the number of attendees we must provide to justify Yale’s investment in the curriculum development. Substitutions are subject to approval according to the selection criteria for the program.

    The program is subject to cancellation or change. Liability is limited to funds remitted for program registration and sponsorship fees. Faculty is subject to change without prior notice. If there are fewer spaces than qualified candidates, some applicants may be deferred until the following year’s program.

    FAQs

    How long is the program?
    It is a week-long program, July 26–31, 2015 (Sunday–Friday).

    If I apply now, when will payment be processed?
    Payment will be processed upon acceptance into the program. An email notification will be sent in advance to alert you.

    Is it possible to pay by credit card?
    Yes, a prompt for payment information will appear at the end of the application. You may select check or credit card. If you select check, you still have the option to pay by credit card later.

    How long does it take to receive notification?
    The notification process is usually one week from the receipt of the completed application.

    How many applications are accepted?
    There are about 35 participants each year.

    What are the main criteria for acceptance?
    Professional achievement and organizational responsibility are the main criteria for admission; there are no formal education requirements for this program.

    What is included in the program fees?
    The program fees include, tuition, course materials, on-campus accommodations and meals.

    Is transportation provided?
    Transportation between the hotel and classrooms is provided during the stay on campus.

    Is this a certificate program?
    Yes. Upon completion of the course, participants receive a certificate of completion from the Yale School of Management.

    Are scholarships available?
    At this time, there are no scholarship opportunities for this program. We pay Yale School of Management for each attendee under contract.

    What are accommodations like?
    Participants will stay at The Study, a local hotel on campus. Single (private) rooms will be reserved in advance.
