Join the Design Educators Community in Norfolk, Virginia from April 12–14 at “BLUNT: Explicit and Graphic Design Criticism Now” to address the discourse of criticism in design, critique aspects of graphic design practice and present or propose methods of critical thought. Conference sessions are divided among the following areas: practice, history, writing and education.
Rick Poynor, visiting professor in critical writing in art & design at the Royal College of Art, will deliver the keynote. Workshops include critical writing, curriculum, grant writing and advancement in academia, as well as a letterpress workshop with Jim Sherraden from Hatch Show Print and newly added Adobe workshops.
