Salt Lake Design WeekOctober 13–18, 2014The purpose of Design Week is to raise the public awareness of the impact that all design—graphic, product, fashion, architecture, advertising, etc.—has in Utah. Design Week brings together a diverse community of design professionals as well as local businesses, nonprofits, entrepreneurs, students and more. The goal of helping local designers interact, collaborate, educated and inspire each other in order to build a stronger creative community. Design Week is hosted by the Salt Lake City chapter of AIGA, the professional association for design, in partnership with AAF, AIA, ASID, ISDA, IIDA, IxDA, SEGD, Utah Center for Architecture, Utah Film Center and other design groups, museums, businesses and schools.
National Design WeekOctober 4–12, 2014Presented by Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design MuseumNational Design Week draws attention to the ways design enriches everyday life. National Design Week is held annually in conjunction with the National Design Awards, celebrating design as a vital humanistic tool in shaping the world, and seeking to increase national awareness of design by educating the public and promoting excellence, innovation, and lasting achievement.
Design Week PortlandOctober 4–11, 2014 Portland is a city of design and for design, unique in its approach to defining place, culture and attitude. Design Week Portland celebrates design as the city’s most promising cultural and economic resource. The purpose is to explore process, craft and practice across disciplines through the city’s vibrant design programming.
Design Week WichitaOctober 3–11, 2014 AIGA Wichita has organized Wichita Design Week as a way to reach out to the creative community as well as local businesses, non-profits, entrepreneurs, students, the design-savvy public, and more. Their goal is to raise public awareness of the impact that all design has in the Wichita area. Join them for a week of inspiration, learning and community.
AIGA Iowa Design MonthOctober 1–31, 2014 AIGA Iowa Design Month was created to celebrate design’s impact and value on today’s society. Throughout the duration of October you will have the opportunities to learn to design for business, take a hand-lettering workshop, socialize and more! Join AIGA Iowa and local designers as we celebrate our sixth annual Design Month.
AIGA Triad NC Design Month October 1–31, 2014 The AIGA Triad NC Design Month will be an exciting time for the local creative community! Join them for great design events throughout the month to recharge your batteries. Activities include a student kick-off gathering, a digital brush workshop with Kyle T. Webster in High Point, an interactive talk with Kyle Lambert in Greensboro, the U360 Print Design Competition exhibit in Winston-Salem, and the Winston-Salem Studio Tour.
St. Louis Design WeekSeptember 22–28, 2014 Presented by AIGA St. Louis, St. Louis Design Week will provide an exciting space for professionals, entrepreneurs, local businesses, nonprofits, students and others to share and make beautiful things together. St. Louis Design Week will inspire and promote the practice of design as vital to St. Louis’ identity.
Vermont Design WeekSeptember 22–26, 2014 AIGA celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2014, and the AIGA Vermont chapter is inviting all interested creatives to participate in a memorable week of events. Join them for specialized lectures, studio tours, panels, workshops and a curated exhibit of Vermont design work.
DESIGN WEEK RISeptember 17–27, 2014 DESIGN WEEK RI celebrates design and the Rhode Island design community with nationally recognized speakers, local design superstars, a design treasure hunt, open spaces, cocktail receptions and a design hall of fame. This inaugural event packs in over a week of design happenings, including AIGA Rhode Island’s Birthday Bash on September 24 celebrating AIGA’s centennial and the chapter’s 10th anniversary.
RVA Design WeekSeptember 17–20, 2014 Presented by AIGA Richmond, RVA Design Week will bring together locals who are into art, letterpress, type, laughing, design and fun. Mark your calendar for September 17–20 and stay tuned for more information soon.

San Francisco Design WeekJune 13–20, 2014 SF Design Week spans the entire Bay Area from Silicon Valley, San Francisco, to the East Bay and beyond. Since 2006, AIGA San Francisco has organized SF Design Week to reach out to a diverse community of over 24,000 Bay Area design professionals as well as local businesses, non-profits, entrepreneurs, students, design-savvy public, tourists, and more. Our goal is to raise public awareness of the impact of design in the Bay Area.
Chicago Design WeekJune 10–13, 2014 AIGA Chicago has had some good Chicago Design Weeks over the years but this one promises to be one of its best. Join them for a week of workshops, a poster show, a creative morning lecture with Scott Wilson and the opening of the Chicago Design Museum!
NYCxDESIGNMay 9–20, 2014 NYCxDESIGN is New York City’s official citywide celebration of design. Spanning all disciplines of design, NYCxDESIGN creates a collaborative platform for cultural and commercial opportunities, elevates established and emerging design practices and increases awareness of and appreciation for design by all audiences. Events are staged across all five boroughs and the NYCxDESIGN website will list details for all featured events.
AIGA Upstate New York DSGN WK 2014May 11–16, 2014 As AIGA celebrates its centennial nationally, 2014 also marks a very important 25 years for our Upstate New York chapter. In honor of that, the AIGA Upstate New York chapter is hosting its first design week! This week of fun-filled events includes a Type Hunt, a statewide CMYK: Come Meet Your Kind mixer, the Create Upstate Conference, a 25th Anniversary Party, workshops, lectures and much more.
